Layering: Essie Licorice and NYC i104A: Scandalous Blue Glitter

I found this in a Dollar Tree recently. It was part of a two pack that included the NYC taxi yellow color ( I think it might be Taxi Yellow Creme? ) and I'd been looking for that because it's apparently been discontinued, I couldn't find it in any drugstore displays, anywhere. I'd been meaning to pick it up for some time, but just never bothered. So when it got missing, I HAD to have it.
Anyway, they were in a two pack together, neither one of them had a name! I don't know why they do this, I know they start out with names. So NYC i104A is a mystery shade. I'd LOVE to solve this and know what this is called. I knew right away that it would be a great layering polish, no good on its own, but like Love Letters, fantastic over a darker shade. I slapped it on my Essie Licorice mani.
And then I mattifyed it with China Glaze Matte Magic. It looks like a "suede" finish - it's AWESOME!

What a great little Dollar Tree find! I just wish I could get its name. Anyone have a clue?
**EDITED: Jana of Jeweled Tips informs me this is probably Scandalous Blue Glitter, which she's used for layering before as well! Thanks so much lady. **

  1. I'm so jealous! My dollar tree blows!

  2. ohh!! i love the layering! and matte looks pretty awesome as well :)

  3. No clue on the name ):
-but this is such a great layer name, what a big difference this NYC nail polish over it !

  4. I'm gonna hunt for this at my Dollar Tree too!

  5. that is pretty - i want to know what colour it is too! and your right it does look like suede. I dream about that dollar tree store every two weeks, lucky USA girls!

  6. I'm pretty sure your mystery layering color is called Scandalous Blue Glitter. I have it, it's labeled 104A (no i on my bottle) and I've found it at Target recently, I LOOOOOVE it. I used it in a layering post on my blog a few months ago :) It's gorgoeus!

  7. I like it! Never seen NYC at my Dollar Tree but they have a nice selection of them at my grocery store. Which is...weird.
I'd love to see this layered over a blue or grey.

  8. I might have seen something like this in my dollar tree, however, its always rare to catch the great finds many of you all catch. I'm going to have to agree with Evil Angel and say my dollar tree also blows.

Love this look and you have a great eye.
