Layering: Rimmel Purple Rain and NYC Love Letters

I'm sure by now, everyone knows the magic that NYC Love Letters is. I knew I wanted to put it over Purple Rain, because I was positive it would look fantastic - and it did. Love Letters is a sheer pink with a purple/blue flash. It's absolutely yummy layered over darker colors. Of course, I had to slap a matte top coat on it. I'm not convinced I captured how awesome it looked matte, but I did get a couple good angles of it shiny!

That first shot shows more of the purple/blue flash, and the second (blurry a bit, sorry!) shows more of the pink. LOVE this.

Layering: Essie Licorice and NYC i104A: Scandalous Blue Glitter

I found this in a Dollar Tree recently. It was part of a two pack that included the NYC taxi yellow color ( I think it might be Taxi Yellow Creme? ) and I'd been looking for that because it's apparently been discontinued, I couldn't find it in any drugstore displays, anywhere. I'd been meaning to pick it up for some time, but just never bothered. So when it got missing, I HAD to have it.
Anyway, they were in a two pack together, neither one of them had a name! I don't know why they do this, I know they start out with names. So NYC i104A is a mystery shade. I'd LOVE to solve this and know what this is called. I knew right away that it would be a great layering polish, no good on its own, but like Love Letters, fantastic over a darker shade. I slapped it on my Essie Licorice mani.
And then I mattifyed it with China Glaze Matte Magic. It looks like a "suede" finish - it's AWESOME!

What a great little Dollar Tree find! I just wish I could get its name. Anyone have a clue?
**EDITED: Jana of Jeweled Tips informs me this is probably Scandalous Blue Glitter, which she's used for layering before as well! Thanks so much lady. **

Pink Wednesday: Deborah Lippmann PYT and Some Enchanted Evening

It's Pink Wednesday time again! :) I decided to feature a Deborah Lippmann polish, and I couldn't choose between the three I had. Laynie suggested I do PYT topped with Some Enchanted Evening. Well, there ya go!
My bottle of PYT is older, it has the "Lippmann Collection" label and it came in the white box, instead of the clear plastic they now come in. It's a sheer, squishy kind of salmon pink on me. Some Enchanted Evening is a fantastic dusty soft pink glitter from the All That Jazz trio.

Yeah, I don't usually go for stuff like this, but I LURVE THIS SO MUCH. Happy Wednesday!
